STERLING FOREST STATE PARK

A hike through Sterling Forest Park in late December of 2015 presented some imagery from the past of a giant furnace and old ruins. The view was spectacular from the Fire Tower and the ride home brought me to what remained of the Red Apple Rest, a popular stop our family would take on our way to the city back in the 1960's. It was sad to view its demise but brought back happy memories from my childhood.
