Taking photographs has become a passion for me. I've always seen art in everything and love to share with others how I see the world through my lens.

I grew up in Sullivan County, NY, and began my art career painting signs for my father's business in South Fallsburg, learning how to hand-letter with a sable brush and enamel paint, left-handed no less! I loved to draw and was especially keen on capturing what I saw photo-realistically, but found it painstaking and tedious. I realized I could accomplish what I was setting out to do much faster with a camera.
I’ve always admired and been inspired by the masters of realism such as Andrew Wyeth, Edward Hopper and Albrecht Dürer, as well as surrealists MC Escher and Salvador Dali.

My work represents the natural beauty that can be found here in Sullivan County, the beautiful mountains, lakes and rural structures scattered throughout the countryside. I am affiliated with the Bethel Council of the Arts. My photographs can be viewed at keithnewmanphotography.com.

Along with my passion for art is music. I am a guitarist and vocalist and perform regularly in the local restaurants and wineries throughout the tri-county region. I also run my own business, LizardBytes Computers & Graphics, where I offer many services, located in Kauneonga Lake, NY
